Team Gallagher at Five Rivers todayToday we had an excursion! The family indeed went to our local park, Five Rivers, and took a 1/2 mile walk. While still fa from walking 18 holes, this was the biggest outdoor activity since the hospital, and was good for all of us. We also managed to fit in a trip to Hudson, an industrial-turned-cutesy town (along the shore of, you guessed it, the Hudson River) to drop my sister off. Ellen has to return to work in Boston next week, so Janice and Emily will hold down the fort, along with all the wonderfully generous friends in the Albany area.
Dad was a little disheartened by the 5-set, over 4-hour men's Wimbledon final, in which Andy Roddick finally fell to Roger Federer's fierce serve. On the upside, he is enjoying a growing appetite, longer walks, and generally seems to be on the fast road to recovery from his surgery.

ReplyDeleteYou continue to amaze us. Great pix, glad to see you are preparing for golf. Tom Precious and I are keeping our calendars open for you. You're missing a lot of nothing here at the Capitol, but we all miss you a great deal. It's a cliche you would edit from copy, but it really isn't the same here without you. Get back soon and kick our butts.

Yea for Team Gallagher. You all are an impressive bunch. Thanks for the pix. It's delightful to see you enjoying yourselves at Five Rivers. And the sun...! I remember the sun. A new storm is ripping up outside tonight, but yesterday was a delight.
